CAD blogs focused on more than just Autocad

I've been having a look round this weekend for blogs covering BIM, VectorWorks, ArchiCAD and Revit but they're invariably discussing Autocad.

About the only one I know is Jonathans Pickup's, on VectorWorks:

Maybe a few of us could fill the gap ourselves? I'd be happy to set up, contribute to and maintain a blog if others were interested in contributing to it.

Any takers? I could think of a few good writers on this forum.

The podcad.tv ones drag on too much. I find I've lost interest long before they get to anything useful.

Haven't got time to contribute enough. Wouldn't mind starting one if I knew others were interested in contributing too though.

Could be an option, thanks for the offer Jonathan. Although the reason I'd be willing to help start a new one is because I'd like to see one focused on BIM, ArchiCAD, VectorWorks (and maybe Revit even though it's not cross platform), with more opinion than tutorage. I might know a ArchiCAD guy who could contribute too.

There has been a rolling discussion of this in the List serve emails, with varying levels of angst about the amount of work/responsibility/fees architects will have. I think the List and Tech forum worlds are separate, which is odd to me, since there is information in each. Chirstiaan, i see you over there now and then. Would it be worthwhile to ask Nemetshek to open a discusion section in this forum for that?

I think the List and Tech forum worlds are separate, which is odd to me, since there is information in each.

This is an age old problem because, while people have their preference for web or email, it's historically been quite difficult to combine email lists and web forums. Personally I think it's crazy to run both a web forum and email list. So much duplicate information and missed oportunities for understanding. Can't see the situation changing any time soon though.

I'm not sure what you mean Don. A dedicated section for discussing the email discussion list?
