Guest
I am obtaining poor results printing from "Vector Works" to a QMS magicolour network printer. prins are being sent from Mac ( OS 8.5) over ethernet using the Laser Writer 8 driver. problems include distorted arcs and symbols colour misalignment and inaccurate line weights. Does anyone know of a solution to this as QMS can't offer one? Quote Link to comment
Guest
When printing on a Mac make sure that you go to the page setup that is located in the "File" menu. You should see a pull down bar that says "page attributes". Click on the pull down menu so that you see a list of options. One of them will be for VectorWorks. Select that option and you will see the setting for High res printing. If it is not checked you will have distorted images and arcs when printing. Select the High Res printing and change the DPI to a setting that best suits your printer. Usually 600 dpi will resolve most problems. If you are still having problems you may want to check to make sure that you have the most up to date version of the driver for that printer. ------------------ Tech Support Rep Diehl Graphsoft Inc.
