jeffroyer
Is is possible to specify how high in a wall a door symbol is placed when one has a situation where the threshold doesn't sit at the bottom of the wall? If I use the move 3d command on the door it also moves the wall up as well. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted February 10, 2007 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted February 10, 2007 This is straightforward. Select the door and look at the Shape tab of the Object Info palette. (This palette should have the legend "Door in Wall" at the top.) Five fields down from the top of the palette will be a field called "Height:". Enter your desire threshold height here. Quote Link to comment
jeffroyer
thanks Robert. I was focused on the dialogue box and had not noticed that field in the oip Quote Link to comment
david on orcas
How could you transer this to a Door Schedule so that with a 6'8" door with a 2" threshold, your Rough Opening would change? At first I tried to do this with "threshold thickness" and creating a modified Rouch Opening column which would add the RO height of the door to a threshold thickness but couldn't deduce what the proper record name for threshold thickness was. Thanks. Following up on an old thread via search. Quote Link to comment
