Square footage of slabs

I wish the rectangles used for floor slabs (or whatever) retained their square footage information, maybe adding cubic footage or total surface area, when they are made into floor objects. It would simplify referencing the area of a room, building or other object. It is there as a rectangle, just keep it! Thanks.

If you double click a floor object it will enter the group, and you can select the rectangle to get the area. Then, just exit group to get back to the floor slab.

If you set up your spaces using the Space tool, the space will give you the square footage as the object is changed.

You can easily create floors and walls from spaces.

(It's still a good suggestion)
