Rotating Text

I am new to VW, so if this is a weak question, please be gentle.

Can anyone tell me how to rotate text 90 degrees to the right?and 180

Everytime I try the text flips over to the left or in the case of 180, back to vert.

See preferences and Adjust Flipped Text. Either you want it or don't, but obviously you don't want what it is now.

There is a setting in the Tools>Options>VW Preferences that you need to uncheck the box for "Adust Text". Should rotate any way you like.

As far as being gentle...well...Ok, but just the first couple of nudges and then we break out the cattle prod.

Really....it's pretty harmless here.

After that, just use the Object Info palette and adjust the rotation (and other elements) or use the Rotate tool (longer, but has it's uses).

Thanks folks, I knew it had to be something simple like that.

I just couldn't find the text options in the Preferences the first few times around.

I am having an issue where text appears correctly in the design layer but flips incorrectly in the viewport. Any idea why this might be?

Do you have the "Adjust Flipped Text" option enabled in VectorWorks Preferences?

If not, check mark it.

I do have the adjust flipped text turned on. If someone created the file did not have the option turned on, would that cause the problem? The text objects are part of a WGR. Does that make a difference?

If I turn off the option to adjust flipped text, it displays correctly, but it would be nice if I didn't have to turn this option off and on when I use this file.
