(for the same PC machine .... single or dual processor. My boss may buy me a new dual processor machine.... I need to know the issues involved) Quote Link to comment
Guest Posted February 1, 2007 Share Posted February 1, 2007 You shouldn't see any large speed changes one way or the other. VectorWorks is still a 32-bit application. As it's been for several years, RenderWorks is the only part of VectorWorks that takes advantage of dual processors. Quote Link to comment
domer1322 Posted February 2, 2007 Share Posted February 2, 2007 OK .....thanks.... but here is another question that has been asked before...... why can't Nemetschek have a "go to" webpage that lists the best hardware specs to run VW ? I know you don't like to recommend stuff, but how about simply listing the qualities a video card and/or CPU should have ? I see many posts that seem to conclude with the issue of an incompatible video card, but never see a list of what video cards should be had ... nor of what characteristics / Specs should be on the card.
