wamarchitects
How can I do automatic incremental numbers? For instance for numbering windows and doors, I know it's possible in Microstation, you just click and each time you get the next number. You can add a prefix / suffix too so you get G 01, G 02, G 03 etc without having to type it all out. I'm still quite new to VW so any help gratefully recieved! Quote Link to comment
panthony
ID Label tool. You can go to the online help in VW and learn how to use it. Test it first to see what you can do with it. Pete A. Quote Link to comment
dcont
There is also a "number stamp tool" that doesn't need an object for the label to be tied to. It just creates a group with a shape and text block in it. It works great if you don't want to mess with the ID label tool and schedules/records. You might need to add it to your workspace if its not there. DanC Quote Link to comment
panthony
Dan, Yes you are correct...I forgot all about the number stamp tool. I have gotten so used to depending on records and schedules that the ID label is used for doors and windows and other things. The number stamp is much quicker. Pete A Quote Link to comment
wamarchitects
This sounds great, thanks, but how to I get the rubber stamp tool? I've checked the resources and tool box editor sort of places, but can't see it....? Thanks, Lucy Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Add it to your workspace with the workspace editor. It s called the "number staamp tool" and (IMO) looks a lot like a baby's pacifier. Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
You need to use the Workspace Editor to add it to your Workspace. Click on the down pointing arrow at the bottom of the Tools palette to get Customise. Search in Legacy for Number Stamp. Add it to the Annotations Tool set. Quote Link to comment
