Gary C
I had to reinstall vworks and one setting I used to have was using ctrl+D to duplicate a object and it would ask me the distance. How do I get this to do it again???? Quote Link to comment
Jim Smith
You can use Duplicate Array (I have customized my workspace & have it set at Shift-Option-Apple-D). With Duplicate Array you can choose one, or more than one duplicate. One can set the distance as well as many other options. Quote Link to comment
Peter Eichel
That would be a nice feature, after duplicating an object I use CTRL+M to move it. Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
by default ctrl+D = duplicate. On the VectorWorks preferences there is an option for offset duplications. If you turn this preference off, then all your duplications are offset. If you drag a copy first (the right distance and angle then the next time you offset it will be the same distance and angle. Great tip! I guess this is what they are referring to in the Help file: "When objects with an offset are duplicated, the offset is maintained with the duplicate." Thanks Quote Link to comment
