wangell
Newbie here. I unfortunately have about 50 colortran 5/50 leko's. The symbols for them in Vectorworks size them at about 40" long when reality is closer to 28". ETC, Varilite, HES, Altman all appear to be sized correctly. Am I doing something wrong? Are there correct symbols available (I just upgraded to 12.5 yesterday) other than buying Shelley's? Is my only option to learn how to modify them and do so thus making new symbols for myself? Thanks, Quote Link to comment
Ericoxer
I've had this problem with our 5/50s. I've always used another instrument, or i plan to at some point make a new hybrid symbol for the family. JW - I've often wondered who was in charge of designing symbols. I've come across that they arent drawn with the same line weight or consistancy. Does NNA make them, or do the manufacturers? Quote Link to comment
Rick Martin
a quick fix would be to right click on the symbol, edit 2d, and select the entire symbol. Group the parts and then use the scale command to change it's relative size. 0.7 will get you from 40" to 28". Edited January 17, 2007 by RPMDesign Quote Link to comment
MrTemplate
Hi; <shameless self promotion> as an alternative you might consider checking my colortran symbols at fieldtemplate.com i went through and measured all of them for accuracy. all softsymbols are a uniform line weight and use only black, white, and a single grey fill for unity between all libraries. </shameless self promotion> Quote Link to comment
