David Bertrand
Rats ! And I just upgraded to 12.5.0. But then, NNA had it all planned that way with the December sale. Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
David, 12.5.1 is a maintanence release and is free of charge for licensed owners of 12.0.0 and 12.5.0. Quote Link to comment

I understand, but I have to call in and order it since I only have a dial-up connection. On the plus side, I've had only good luck with the upgrades on CD. Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Oh. Dial up. Bummer. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Andrew Bell@NV Posted January 10, 2007 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted January 10, 2007 A lot of the Powerbook G4s have wireless, as do a lot of libraries (not to mention Starbucks, McDonalds, and others.) If you want to speed up the process over calling and mailing, perhaps a little quality reading time is in order. Quote Link to comment
Mickey
Where's the document that shows what has changed? Quote Link to comment
David Bertrand
A lot of the Powerbook G4s have wireless, as do a lot of libraries (not to mention Starbucks, McDonalds, and others.) I may just try that. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
David Bertrand
I drove over to the county library with my powerbook and downloaded rel. 12.5.1. It stalled three times while downloading, and I had to "stop" and "resume" each time. A bit unnerving. The download took about 30 minutes. Afterward, the software installation went smoothly, and there doesn't seem to be any problem with its operation. Quote Link to comment
michael john williams
Having looked at the 3 to 4 improvements is it worth the hassle to upgrade from 12.5 to 12.5.1? How many wish list items registered on this board have been incorporated? As a UK user will the upgrade overwrite by 12.5 uk version? Is there a UK version? Quote Link to comment
David Bertrand
I made a backup copy of my 12.5.0 directory before upgrading to 12.5.1. Eventually, I'll erase the earlier version if there are no problems. I don't know whether this is possible for a non-U.S. version. Quote Link to comment
holsteinson
Another update and still they can not fix the DXF/DWG import command bug when the original files are in UTM coordinates VW 12.51 still insists in setting to 0,0 the origin of the center of the imported DXF/DWG files no matter what options are selected by the user (default, custom) Come on make VW a real world CAD software!! No georeferencing or datum coordinates support this is unexcusable! Quote Link to comment
jbrhwy
Is there a problem when you select in DXF DWG Import Options the "Use World Origin Instead of User Origin" button? Quote Link to comment
michael john williams
I am back and till no answer from NNA on my posting some 5 months ago: Having looked at the 3 to 4 improvements is it worth the hassle to upgrade from 12.5 to 12.5.1? Guest
Wish list items are typically included in major releases. Minor releases are typically limited to issue resolutions. This is a general industry standard for software. Quote Link to comment

Guest
Contact Computers Unlimited, as usual, for localization questions/concerns. It should be fine, but nonetheless, a tech support question like this should be geared towards them. Quote Link to comment
