MLPCAEC
I have a need to import text that originates in Filemaker. I can export the Filemaker data to Excel, and it goes from there into any other program with very little effort or drama. Not so with VW. Is there a way to get data, as a spreadsheet, into VW Fundamentals and then be able to export it to dwg format? I understand that the built-in VW spreadsheet will not allow the data to be exported to dwg. Quote Link to comment
Petri
Create a worksheet with the correct number of rows and columns, then say Import Worksheet. It would be nice if at least SYLK and DIF format import would automatically adjust the numbers, though, as the files (I think) have this information in the file header. Quote Link to comment
Guest
The DIF and SYLK files should import normal. If you have a file demonstrating behavior where it's not working correctly or as expected, please send the file to tech@nemetschek.net and bugsubmit@nemetschek.net Quote Link to comment
Petri
They do. I was unclear: with formats where the file header gives the "vectors" (or whatever - it is almost 'twenty years ago today' when I wrote my own worksheet import routines for certain formats), the worksheet dimensions should be automatically adjusted or created. If I want to import a table of 10 columns by 20000 rows and this information IS in the source, why should I need to figure it out and configure the receptor? Pretty basic programming, I would say... Guest
That's fair. Send the information to bugsubmit@nemetschek.net with "WISH" in the subject line. Quote Link to comment
