Only Certain Object Render

I'm trying to render an extuded polygon but all I get is a wire image. When I produce an extruded cylinder, it renders just fine. Why is one rendering and the other not?

Does it have a solid fill?

Another thing to check is to see if the object is on the active layer. When rendering, only the active layer renders, unless you are using Stack Layers. A good way around this is to either use Stack Layers or create a Layer Link.
