Ethan
In the particular document I am working on, Auto Number Units is not working properly. The function takes too long, and then randomly numbers the units I have selected, usually with number in 100's. Any idea what might cause this? David Ormsby
I'm not sure what caused that, but I had it happen once - I think I ended up copying and pasting all my layers into a new file. Quote Link to comment
Ethan
I think I figured it out -- I may have had units selected in a layer that was turned off. Ethan Quote Link to comment
C Dopher
I'm also finding that if you accidentally have two different positions sharing the same position name, it'll number all units on both positions. I am beginning to see why some people might prefer Offset Duplications... Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee klinzey Posted March 20, 2006 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted March 20, 2006 The problem of numbering units that are selected on a non-editable layer has been fixed for the next update. Quote Link to comment
Mickey
I had this happen recently as well. I had done a find and modify to select units, and it grabbed units on another layer. It made autonumbering go crazy. When is the next update do out? Quote Link to comment
