ananya
Hi, I am trying to figure out how to import from sketch pro to vectorworks 12.5 on my mac. I have a student copy. I tried doing it using the 3ds extension, but a dialog came up saying it wasn't authorised. I have tried to install the sketchup plugn from Vectorworks, this doesn't work - it says the software is already installed - If it has, then how do I use it? Quote Link to comment
cbaarch
you have to add the sketchup import to the menu via workspace edit Quote Link to comment
PeterT
Also, the Import SketchUp command is only available if you have Architect, Landmark, Spotlight, or Machine Design installed. If you are using Fundamentals, you are out of luck. Quote Link to comment
Guest
To import a SketchUP file on a Mac, you need to run VW under Rosetta. The plugin supplied by SketchUP is not a native universal binary plugin. As soon as an update to this is available, we will incorporate it into VectorWorks. Quote Link to comment

ananya
Thanks for that - I guess I''ll just have to wait until a universal plugin is released Quote Link to comment
