Viewport Edit

Recommended Posts

I'm using v12.5, and was referring to double clicking the viewport. Since sending the post I stumbled upon the right click options, as described by Jonathan. I assume that I should be able to access the Edit Viewport dialogue box and did think that I might have somehow accidentally disabled this function, but according to cbaarch this could be a bug?

There's a new option available in 12.5 when double clicking on VPs to edit them.

When you first double click on a Viewport, you are asked what you'd like to happen when you double click on a viewport. There's an option to set that selected behavior to happen every time you double click on a viewport.

It sounds like "crop" was selected and the option to always do this was enabled.

To reset this, right click on the viewport and select Edit Viewport. Select a new double click function and enable to do it always - or remove the enable always option. That way, everytime you double click, you will get the dialog box asking you what you want to do.

Likewise, the right click menu option allows you to go to Edit Annotations, Edit Crop, and Edit Design Layer. In addition, while you are in either edit annotations or edit crop mode, you can right click and jump to one of the other editing modes without exiting the Edit Viewport mode.
