buzz
Hello I am new to using the Spotlight features of VectorWorks. I understand that the 'Create Animation' can be used to create scenes showing different lighting states; and the transitions between these states. However, I have been unable to locate where I can adjust the intensity / level of individual instruments (I can do this using the 'Visualisation' "Lights"- but not lighting instruments used for lighting design purposes). I have looked in OIP and the 'edit' section within this but cannot find. Do some instruments not have the ability to have variable intensity? Is there something in renderworks that I need to activate to be able to control intensity? Many Thanks Quote Link to comment
Jim_Allen
Right click the instrument and get the edit window of the instrument, click on light information tab, you will see "light on" and intensity (brightness in VW). Quote Link to comment
buzz
Hi Jim Thanks for your prompt reply. I have been able to find this "Light On" check box- but I have no intensity slider near it. (Can I upload files to this tech forum ????) The instruments I am using are from the Slecon Metric Library (part of the Spotlight package.....) Do you have any other suggestions? Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Quote Link to comment
Jim_Allen
when you inserted the instruments did you use the instrument insertion tool in the SL menu? What platform, version, operating system, etc are you using?? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee klinzey Posted October 26, 2006 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted October 26, 2006 You need to be running 12.0.1 or 12.5 to see the intensity slider. Quote Link to comment
