G_Hannigan Posted October 17, 2006 Share Posted October 17, 2006 If I recall, an xline creates an infite length line through two points. I don't think there is anything comparable in VW. You can convert a drawn line to a guide, but its length is as drawn. If you place a locus point & turn on Snap to Loci in VW Prefs, you will get dotted lines thru the X/Y axes, but you cannot rotate it. When an xline is selected, three snaps appear. The middle snap allows moving the line and as its axis of rotation. The other two cause the line to rotate around the middle snap. The regular Rotate command allows rotation at other points on the line. How are you using them as a reference? George Quote Link to comment

Try turning on the Smart Edge constraint, put your cursor on an object and hit the T key. I think you can have a maximum of 2 at any time. N. Quote Link to comment
