sfatelier
I don't know why some walls appear solid and others as wireframes when I render a perspective in open GL. Can anyone explain to me why this occurs. I have used the walltypes from the program (v. 12 - pc). Thank you! Quote Link to comment
propstuff
Are the wireframe walls set to have a solid fill? Quote Link to comment
P Retondo
Select a wall, look at the attributes palette. It must have a solid fill (first part of that palette), otherwise your textures won't appear. Quote Link to comment
sfatelier
Thanks! I'll try that. I kept focusing on the object info palette. Quote Link to comment
sfatelier
I tried that but when I select the wall, the attributes becomes grey and I can't change the fill or line settings. What's with that? Quote Link to comment
Robert Anderson
sfatelier, styled walls are controlled by their style definitions, not by the attributes palette (kind of like symbols). If you want to control a wall using the attribute palette, unstyle the wall first by choosing "convert to un-styled wall" in the Object Info palette. Quote Link to comment
sfatelier
OK I'll try that. It's odd that this wall (8" CIP concrete) is one of the Vectorworks standards and it's not set up to render as solid. Thanks Quote Link to comment
sfatelier
Thanks, that did it! Any explanation on the fact that some walls behave that way and others don't? Quote Link to comment
