bohlr
Is there a way to prevent a view from re-rendering every time an action is taken that should not change the visual appearance of the view? ie switching active layer, Changing active Class - to name two actions that should not need a re-render. Vectorworks, Inc Employee Biplab Posted September 6, 2006 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 6, 2006 Swithcing the active layer does need to render the scene again - as only the active layer is rendered - thus visual appearance changes. Changing the active class changes the visibilities of some objects and thus may or may not need re-rendering. Quote Link to comment
gov
that can be frustrating though, i understand wht you mean. you know that holding esc. stops rendering, right? or that rendering in a viewport creates a .bmp, and therefore doesn't re-render until you tell it to? rendering in a viewport is also great because it indicates that something has changed by showing a red border around the viewport. at that point, you have the option whether to re-render or not.
