Workgroup references - binding

Hi, having come from AutCAD I am wanting to "bind" workgoup references in order to issue to other consultants so that they cannot be tampered with. I am having to creat pdf at present is there some Vectorworks equivalent of AutoCAD xref - bind.

I don't see any way of doing it other than copying ther layers on th ereferenced files directly into your main file and then deleting the referenced files. This could be a lot of workif you have a lot of referenced files.

Seems to be two parts to this. The first is keeping the information in the file so it can be exported. Vectorworks does this by default, if you export a file to DWG then all the required information needed in the file will be there.

The second part seems to be the issue of locking, or restricting editing?

not sure about this one not having used AutoCAD i wasn't aware this was possible, i know we get consultants to bind DWG's before sending them to us so we have all the information, that has never locked the info so it can't be edited (not that we would).
