sfatelier
Once I have a wall in a drawing, is there a way to edit the line weight. Can't seem to do this in the "object info" box or by "eyedropping" the properties from another wall. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
islandmon
Best to assign wall types to unique classes then control the attributes via class style. Eye dropper will copy the attributes & the other values including height, width, depth. Quote Link to comment
sfatelier
Thanks! That did it, for the most part. Still had a little problem with transferring the hatch from one wall to the other. Any hints? Thanks again. Quote Link to comment
P Retondo
SF, you don't say what version you are using. You can't change the wall lines using the attributes palette probably because the components still have lineweights defined - I believe the component line weights override the wall lineweight. The following may have particulars unique to version 12, and may assume you are using VW Architect: The other method is to use wall styles. Create your style, apply it to the wall, and then edit it later to effect global changes. One caution: files converted from earlier versions of VW have extremely time-consuming bugs associated with editing wall styles. Quote Link to comment
bc
Changing wall line weights after creation is done in the Object Info Palette. Click on components>edit and then select the lineweights you prefer. Is this what you're asking? Quote Link to comment
sfatelier
Dear BC, I have version 12, Architect, on a pc. Sorry for the confusion. I did manage to change them by changing the wallstyle to "unstyled". Previously with an assigned style, the component option wasn't available. With the change to "unstyled", I was able to change it as you directed. Thanks all for your help! Quote Link to comment
