Lines and Arch

Recommended Posts

Use the Compose Tool but be careful to only create 1 object. If more than 1 object is created then first Convert to Lines and Join the segment gap(s) and then SelectAll >Compose. Now , if a polyline is created then you will need to Convert to Lines again and then Compose ... making sure that the object is 'Closed' in the OIP ( otherwise the object only renders the perimeter not surfaces ).

This is not correct. A polyline does not need to be converted to lines and re-composed in order to render the surface.

If an Open polyline is extruded you will extrude only the edge, but that can be closed with the last mode of the 2D reshape tool and the surface will extrude. In either case, the polyline will render.

In neither case does the surface need to be converted to lines.
