Michael_Eschenbach
There is a bug, which only occurs occasionally, which makes the location of the info palattes freeze. they cant be moved. and they cant be windowshaded. Does anyone else out there have this problem..... As with other bugs I have found, such as the stair pio stoppage, I find that by quitting and rebooting vectorworks, all is well again.... Before I post the bug, I'd like to find out if there are other occurances of the freezing problem. Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
Have you tried clicking on the desktop and then clicking on the Vectorworks icon in the dock? I've found that Vectorworks sometimes gets stuck in a no man's land of sorts. Probably not the same issue but sounds similar. Quote Link to comment
Michael_Eschenbach
Cristiaan, I have tried most eeverything.... best and fastest results come from save, shutdown, restart of vectorworks.... thanks though. best regards Quote Link to comment
Guest
MIchael, How often do you run disk utility? Have you tried creating a new user account to see if the problem happens as often, or even at all? Quote Link to comment
Michael_Eschenbach
KATIE, i have run disk utility once or twice a month. I have not tried it under another user acct. I shall check it out and update you on these attempts. best regards m Quote Link to comment
Gytis
Michael- I experience precisely the same problem, with same randomness of occurence. I posted previously: Tech Board palette freeze I run Cocktail weekly, Disc Utility monthly, and Disc Warrior when I'm really in trouble. I'll try a different user as well-hadn't been recommended before. Quote Link to comment
bsp
Yes, I've been having the same trouble. I'm on an iMac G5. I've been having the people at the Genius bar at Mac store look at the problem. No answer as yet. My solution has been to restart the application. Also I find that its not a problem when I'm not (physically) connected to a server or internet. But being random it may be a coincidence. I will try the other user log in as well. -bsp Quote Link to comment
