VW12 won't run.

VW12.0.1, PC, XP, AMD athlon 3200+

When I try to open up VW, I get the message 'VW has encountered a problem & needs to close.' I reinstalled VW last week because I was getting the same problem, now it's happening again.

Have experienced this same problem in an intermittent way previously - sometime it wouldn't load, then it would - no recognisable pattern.

At present it won't load at all - any suggestions?

It's helpful to us to know what types of operations you were using when you got that message.

If you can, let us know the types of things you do if you get the message again, and send us that information.

if you are familiar with editing the registry

then delete the 2 entries for Nemetschek VW12 before you reinstall VW12 -

(if you have 11 still installed leave those alone.)

Start button

Run

regedit (File - Export will save a copy of the Registry in case you mess up)

Edit

Find

Vectorworks 12

delete the key for Vectorworks 12

close

and restart winxp

reinstall from CD and upgrade to 12.0.1
