Fill Patterns

I am having a problem with the printing of fills on our plotter. I have rectangles with a straight line fill pattern to represent plywood. The vertical rectangles 19mm X 914mm at a scale of 1:10 are printing as solid black lines, the same piece rotated 90 and fill changed to horizontal equivalent, prints with no fill.

Our OS system is MAC OSX tiger, On mac G5 the plotter is a HP800PS. VW12.0.1

I stopped using fills a long time ago because of the lack of control & scalability. Instead I use HATCHES. Have you tried using hatches instead of fills?

You can exercise a little more control over fills in VW12. It has the option to set what resolution the fills will print at. You might want to try to adjust that and see if it effects the results. There is also an option to print fills at on screen resolution, which I stay away from.

I think that hatches are the way to go. unfortunately these are legacy drawings where fills were used.
