jcaia
Is anyone else sick of waiting for the version of VW12 to work with the new Intel Macs. That is the main reason I upgraded, and it still has not come out yet - even though my sales rep said it was going to be out by now. What is taking so long - after all, Nemetschek was talking about how VW12 would be Intel ready before Apple surprised them by releasing early....but they should have the code fixed by now. Jim Smith
We have been using VW12 on an intel MAC for 4-6 weeks. There are bugs, it is slower than VW11 or 10 on the olde MACs (even seems slower than VW 10 on OS 9!). Bottom line is, it does work; kinda, sorta. I think. Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Be patient. These things always take longer than we'd like. And you know what they say: "Good things come to those who wait." Quote Link to comment
matto
Didn't the Prophecy of Intel Native support speak of "during the summer" and arround the time for Apples release of Pro Towers . Yes Patients, the signs have not yet past. Sorry couldn't resist... But do wonder if we may see NNA up on stage at WWDC as part of the transistion update during the keynote. Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
My understanding was that it would be ready for Apple's initial release date for the Intel Macs, which, if I recall correctly, was going to be July. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted July 14, 2006 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted July 14, 2006 Apple has *already* publicly demonstrated a beta Universal Binary version of VectorWorks Architect (at the 2006 AIA national convention). Quote Link to comment
Kevin
Well, Robert, aren't you the tease. :-) jcaia; NNA is a business in competition with other software companies. Robert and his staff are more anxious, to get a Universal Binary version of VW, than you are. Quote Link to comment
H. H. Furr
So what is the word? When will there be support? I am having to work with the bugs right now and trying to produce Construction Documents on several projects. Quote Link to comment
jcaia
If they have a version (even beta), they should release it. I would be happier with a "buggy" version of VW12 than how slow it runs on Intel Macs. Overall, Nemetschek has been really promoting the fact VW12 would be Intel compatible, but it seems to be taking forever. Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
"I would be happier with a "buggy" version of VW12". NOT! Quote Link to comment
