Seems its been changed since vw 11 and I cant find the toggle for UP/DOWN in the Obj Info nor the PIO interface. Any help is appreciated in advance. Thanx Tyler Quote Link to comment

TylerT
Also just noticed - when you turn the stair break on the handrails disappear. Quote Link to comment

TylerT
Just loaded 12.5. The disappearing handrails looks better but I dont see where you can toggle the up/down stair arrow. Can someone point me in the right direction? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted September 18, 2006 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 18, 2006 There is no toggle for up/down. Stairs are always made from the lower floor. The upper flight will always show DN and the lower stair will always show UP. Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
Robert - that causes a problem for us here in Australia. Our convention is that stairs and ramps are always indicated with an up arrow on all floors in all circumstances. (Australian Standard 1100). I will concede that not all people use the convention, but all work done for Government Authorities has to comply with the Australian Standard. Quote Link to comment
BG
This is also going to cause problems for users in NZ. Stairs/ramps always have arrows pointing up. I guess the arrows can be manually drawn. BG Quote Link to comment
Itchy
Simple solution guys, under 2D detail you can set what the Start and End marker, normal one will be a arrow and the other is a filled circle, just swap them round, make sure that you click apply, and you will need to have Show stair Data turned off. fsung
There is no toggle for up/down. Stairs are always made from the lower floor. The upper flight will always show DN and the lower stair will always show UP. I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. If I place a stair and specify the overall height by layer elevations in the General tab of the Stair Settings dialog, the arrow on the stair symbol in the upper level points up (the directional text is also "up"). Are you saying it should point down? Quote Link to comment
Don@Black Dog
That is what he is saying, but not what happens. It would be helpful if it were an option to indicate DOWN at the top of a run. Quote Link to comment
