digitalcarbon Posted July 7, 2006 Share Posted July 7, 2006 now that symbols can be wgr we should consider doing the same to classes. that way all core classes can be controled by a master file. also we need to have a way to "dump" classes we may get from a site plan into a sub "folder" to keep them out of our class list. If you're talking about WorkGroup Reference for symbols, I remember VW8 had it, and it hasn't changed since then. As for classes, that used to be the big problem. Back then we had to be extremely careful about class name syntax across files. In 10 or 11 a feature was introduced which is now the Class and Layer Mapping feature. Give it a try. It should solve all your needs. I'm sorry, but I don't think "controlling core classes by a master file" makes any sense. Quote Link to comment
