Can you (or they) send the AutoCAD file to me? I'll take a look at the file and see what's going on. Please include a detailed description of the problem including VW version and OS in the email.

An AutoCAD donut is a closed polyline with user defined width, so remains a polyline in VW. I don't see that there's much you can do except ask the 3rd party not to use donuts?

For our immediate needs, yes, but in the long term this doesn't need to be the case.

It's worth noting that they're coming in at the inner diameter instead of the outer diameter and that some came in as circles and some came in as polylines. So there's a little more to it than "they're polylines so the remain polylines."

Strange. I just tried importing a load of donuts into VW and they all seem to import fine (as polylines). No circles, and the diameters are all ok.

We'd rather they came in as circles, at least then you can batch edit them.

With your Donuts did you have an outer and inner diameter?

I'm using VWA 12.0.1 on WinXP, so an OS specific issue?

Dunno, I'm waiting for Katie's comments.
