Dieter @ DWorks
When I set my view at an isometric view and then set it to perspective (instead of orthogonal), it shows nothing and the view window is set very small. Can someone help me? (I had the same problem in 11.5 but i thought it would be over in 12) Quote Link to comment
mike m oz
Use the Walkthrough tool to move the view from point out from your objects. Once you have your objects in the viewing frame you can set the view to what you want useing the Walkthrough, Flyover, Translate View and Rotate View Tools. Alternatively go back to Top/Plan View and use the Set 3D View command to get the view close to what you want. Quote Link to comment
Guest
You may need to stretch the perspective window. Depending on where the model is located around the origin, the drawing may not display in the perspective window frame by default. Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
link, you can also use the "set 3d view" command. Once you get the hang of it I think you'll find it allows much more control. Also, if you happen to own VW's 12 AND RenderWorks there is the new RenderWorks Camera which is even better. Quote Link to comment
Dieter @ DWorks
The problem is that it is a viewport and it is used to be part of what i want to print. set 3d view and those renderworks camera doesn't create a viewport, so you can't use them for that, only for viewing on the screen. and the viewport can not be streched. CipesDesign
Not exactly true. You need to set up the view you want first (in a design layer) then create a VP from that view. After that, if you change the design layer the viewable area might shift. So first, I would go into the VP crop and try to move it. If that won't work, go back to the design layer and stretch the perspective window bounding box, then go back to the VP and change the crop accordingly. Quote Link to comment
Dieter @ DWorks
Ok, i think i get it, you first set the view in a design layer, then you make the viewport and it automaticly set at the same view. thx, but i think it i s not that good, because everytime you want a certain view, you must delete the old viewport, set the view and make a new viewport, but it will do, thx Quote Link to comment
