slothrop
This is an AutoCAD tool... Copying with a reference point that may or may not be a part of the copied objects. Very useful when using a benchmark to copy and paste betwen files. Does VW do this? I'm new to it. Quote Link to comment
0 C. Andrew Dunning
VW doesn't have a native tool to do that. Check out one of the tools @ http://www.vectordepot.com/PlugIns1.shtml - like Move by Vector. IMO, a MUST for any VW installation... Quote Link to comment
0 mike m oz
Vector Move from Vector Bits is a better option because it has more capability and features. Works in both 2D and 3D and has Move, Distribute and Duplicate modes. http://www.vectorbits.com/ Quote Link to comment
0 jan15
slothrop, Do you know about the Paste-In-Place command? That's sometimes useful for copy and paste between files. If you actually want a reference point rather than a common offset from origin, one easy way to do that is to Group the things being transferred, and then grab the group by the reference point after pasting it, and drag it to where you want it. Then ungroup it. Quote Link to comment
