jman
Is there a way to specify where an object is fixed when you modify a dimension. The default apears to be fixed at center. For example if I have a 10cm line originating at 0,0 and I change the length to 8cm the new line originates at 1,0. I would like to be able to specify that the new line / object remain fixed at one end. Thanks by the way for all the help on my previous questions. J. Quote Link to comment
ionw
If you look next to where you enter the length in the info palette you will see an abstract of the line you are editing with dots at each end and the middle. The solid one will remain fixed. just click on which point you want to remain fixed, before you change the length. HTH Quote Link to comment
jman
I'm using version 11 and there doesn't appear to be a toggle as you describe in the object info pallete. I wonder if this is a version 12 feature. Quote Link to comment
ionw
It has been there as long as I can remember...and that's quite a while... Here it is, just below the polar/cartesian toggle, to the left of the location. BTW this is a screenshot from VW 11.5.1 HTH Quote Link to comment
