Bruce Kieffer
I have a roof on one layer and the walls on another layer. How do I rotate the house as one thing? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted May 17, 2006 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted May 17, 2006 Why are you rotating the house? (I'm not asking this to be difficult, but your answer can determine the response.) Quote Link to comment
Bruce Kieffer
I want to see different views. If I switch from right ISO to Left ISO, then I want both layers to switch. Quote Link to comment
D Wood
I'm sure there are more experienced users than me out there who can explain this more comprehensively, but I would create a new layer called Model, and Layer Link your wall layer and roof layer. Then you can rotate the resulting model of your building any way you want, independently of the orientation of the linked layers. Quote Link to comment
NickB
Bruce, if your only talking about rotating the view around the model (which I think you are from your second post) then you need to turn on Layer Stacking View > Stack Layers regards, Nick Edited May 17, 2006 by NickB Quote Link to comment
Bruce Kieffer
Staking Layers seems to be the best way to do this, but that is a feature of VW Architect, and I have Fundamentals. Layer linking seems to work OK for what I want. I'll have to mess with that a bit. Quote Link to comment
