atmosphere

Recommended Posts

I am currently working on a drawing in spotlight 11.5 and am wondering whether or not there is anyway to project atmosphere in my renderings. I want to see beams of light in mid air.

well, id love to start working in VW12, but currently cannot afford the update...anyone have any tips or tricks for 11.5?

When I do get 12, I look forward to the fog effect - thank you

V11.5 also has weather effects >Fog , rain, & snow.

But gettin' a beam effect through the fog is a Radiosity issue and that requires upgrading to v12.

Why use CAD overhead to calculate beams of light thru FoggyBottom

when Photoshop makes it sooooo easy to do ...

Archo,

The rendering technology you are refering to is known as Volumetric Lighting. VW 12 introduced this technology with the rendering package. Final Quality RenderWorks and Radiosity both allow you to show the particles in the light beam. You have total control over the density of the particles and how strong the light is, which makes for getting the exact presentation style you want.
