Printing Manager ERROR

melvinpa

Question

When using Batch Print in the latest version of V12.0.1 on a MAC running OS 10.4.6.... it prints the first page just fine....but as it is sending the remaining pages....(page 2, page 3, page 4, etc...).....I get an error message for each attempt to send a page: "Printing Manager ERROR-108"

Can someone tell me what this error message means? This happens in multiple files on multiple occasions.

thank you!

Are you getting the error message on the printer display or on your computer?

What type of printers are you getting the message on?

Likewise, it's probably something with the printing manager in your operating system - controlled by the OS.

You may want to check apple's knowledge base.

That's definately not a VW error message - we don't have numbers for the exception of DWG error codes which we don't write either.

Error -108 is a memory full error. It's possible that the document is too complex for the printer driver or printer. If that isn't the case there is probably a problem with the printer setup. I'd try repairing permissions first. Visit Apple Printing Center, there is a troubleshooting section. There is also an application called Print Setup Repair that fixes a lot of problems that can occur with printers, it's not free though.

Repairing disk permissions is done using 'Disk utility'

In the Applications folder, click on 'Utilities'

In Utilities, click on 'Disk Utility'.

Once open, go to the left hand side and select the drive you wish to check/repair.

Click on 'repair disk permissions'. This can be done while the computer is running.... very safe.

(you can also use the same general procedure as a general system repair by starting the computer up from the 'startup disk' and, using the same steps, click on 'verify/repair disk'

happy trails
