Random bits of text missing when printing

We've got a file that's printed out with random letters missing. Very random. Some words are missing and some words have some letters missing. Not only that, the next sheet that came out of the printer, of the same drawing, had different bits of text missing. And then when we sent it again all text was printed.

In our experience, this seems to relate to corrupt font caches under OS X. Running FontFinagler (http://homepage.mac.com/mdouma46/fontfinagler/) and restarting makes the problem go away for a few weeks for us.

It appears to random to judge whether or not this utility is actually fixing the problem (even if for a limited time).

It's also of note that we don't have this problem with any other application.
