cami Posted April 19, 2006 Share Posted April 19, 2006 We are using workgroup referencing on a project, but since we started using it we noticed that the files that are being referenced by other drawings are coming up as read only when they are not open in any other location. Is there a way to fix this? Also if a file is open by one person & someone else wants to open the file, is there a way for vectorworks to notify exactly where the file is opened over a network as oppesed to just saying that the file is currently open....open as read only? Filepath 'sniffing' is a security issue and therefore should only be available to 'admin' > workgroup. The only way round this limitation is to use standard 'File Sharing' protocols.
