OpenDWG Library Error 5

I have these .dwg's that I am trying to import. It's the second lot from the same source and the first batch came in fine. I now keep getting OpenDWG Library Error 5 - does anyone know what this means. The window says the file is corrupt or missing data - they are the architect drawings for the new Roundhouse in London - so I doubt that is correct!

There's a known problem with xrefs that could be causing this. If you can have the file originator bind any xrefs, that might help. The last time I saw this problem, binding xrefs in AutoCAD failed.

If they're using an older version of AutoCAD, you can try temporarily removing the DWGdirect library from your VectorWorks folder and restarting VectorWorks. XRefs won't get bound, but maybe non-xrefs will import ok.

If you open the DWG file in a text editor, the first few characters should be something like AC10. If not, then the file is corrupt, or zipped, or something.
