Uninstalling / re-installing problems

Question

I have to re-install VW with all its updates because it's gotten totally confused, slow, appears double in control panel programs database (one at 690+MB the other as 708MB) and takes half a day to start up, while v.12 doesn't seem to be just around the corner...

The problem is that the install.log file has gone missing (as happens on windows more often than not) and now neither the uninstallers can remove it nor the original installer can install over the existing files. I could manually delete some files (.exe, etc), but will this solve the problem? I can't allow myself to be without the program for more than half a day - tight deadlines. Any suggestions?

Just delete all the folders and reinstall. You should be fine. If the problem persists, please contact Technical Support and we can walk you through removing registry entries (pc) or preference files (mac).
