Recognizing dongle on another subnet

Is there a way for the dongle to be recognized across a subnet?

We are just starting to use VW and I have found that the way our IT guys have set up the network a new user is unable to run VW.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Change the IP address to the one of the server where the dongle is stored and place the ini file in the root of the VW folder on each computer.
