With begin of last week I started to install the update 11.5 to some of our systems. And now the systems with 11.5 become more instable. One example: Copying some parts from one plan to another one let the system 11.5 crash, on 11.0.1 it works fine! Any ideas what's happen? We are currently using Windows 2000 and Basic version of Vectorwork. Quote Link to comment

You should back-up existing then do a clean install of 11.1 before the new install of 11.5 ? Then you need to rebuild your various WorkSpace configs and plug-in & objects. 0 Nige Lites Posted April 13, 2005 Share Posted April 13, 2005 First: Since installing the update from 11 to 11.5 I have been unable to export/import DWG. About 2/3 through the conversion (importing or exporting) I get an error message; "Vectorworks.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created" Can't find the error log (is it a VW or WIN log, dunno) Same files successfully import/export on another machine that has not been upgraded from 11 to 11.5. Second: Did the usual stuff, shutdown and restarted Windows, closed all other app's, tried again, tried again with files that had imported/exported successfully before upgrade. Always the same result. Dug out the original CD-ROM to re-install, but that would not re-install because it saw a later version already installed. Well maybe re-installing the upgrade might help, got a new access URL downloaded the upgrade exe (first time I had installed 'over the net'), but the upgrade wouldn't install because I no longer had VW 11.01 as my application exe. Does this mean that I have to rip it all out (uninstall VW) and start again. Operating System = Win2000, VW=Spotlight Cheers, Nige. Quote Link to comment
