Installation Problem on XP home

JenH

Question

Hello,

I have a new computer - Win XP Home and I have tried to load my Vectorworks 10 (student version). The dongle is attached - red light is on - however, when I launch the software - I receive an error message stating that the dongle is not attached.

I understand others are having difficulties with the dongles. Please help. Do I need to download new drivers from Aladin - and if so, could you be specific about which drivers I require?

FYI - This software worked fine on my old computer Win98.

Thanks,

JH

Then the dongle driver is not installed properly.

Unplug the dongle. Go to aladdin.com and click on Support and Downloads along the left. Select HASP from the drop down box. Click on End Users below Hasp4. Use the table to find your OS and click on the download to the right. Once downloaded, install the dongle driver. When you get to the FINISH button, click on FINISH, plug the dongle in and restart the computer.

Hi Katie,

I can open vectorworks but I now receive an error message upon using the program

Vectorworks Dongle has been found but it does not match the one specified by your serial number. Vectorworks will now quit.

I didn't have this problem before.

Can you advise?

Thanks

JH
