winston
Help! I'm trying to upgrade from VW 9.5.3 to VW 10.5. When I install the software, all is well, until I try to install Spotlight. I then receive an error message "please run the master file." I'm using OS 10.3 on a G4 Powerbook. What can I do? Quote Link to comment
0 Guest
Winston, Do you get this message when you are running the VW 10.5 installation CD ? You shouldn't be installing Spotlight separately, it should all be installed at the same time with your serial number (if it's coded for SPOTLIGHT) Quote Link to comment
0 winston
Yes!! For some reason, I have to install Spotlight from the "Components" folder on the install CD. I cannot select it from the 'Install' option. I have no trouble with VW 10.5, but I continue to get that error message whenever I try to install Spotlight. Should I remove the previous version (9.5.3) and try to install 10.5? Quote Link to comment
0 Guest
Winston, Email me your serial number and I'll be able to tell you if it's encoded for Spotlight. You shouldn't have a problem like that if the serial number is encoded correctly. You shouldn't try to install any of the components except for the GOBO's after the foundation program has been installed. You'll end up with errors like the one you are having. If spotlight isn't encoded for the serial number, you won't be able to install it. Quote Link to comment
