VW10.5 quits in 9.2.2

A client has asked me to install 3 copies of VW10.5, one copy was successfully installed under OS 10.3, however the two copies under OS 9.2.2 both quit reporting dongle not found, the dongles are installed and are lit which I understand to mean that the drivers are present. Client currently has to run old (v8) VW on OS 9 Macs and v10 on OS X Mac and is tearing hair out in clumps.

I need to have a really good understanding of what the problem is and hopefully a fix for when I go back to site on Tuesday.

Have emailed client DongleIDMac.sit in meantime.

You should run the dongle ID utility with the dongle plugged in and lit.

Folow the directions there.

If the utility reports the dongle ID's don't match, you may need a new set of dongles.

Make sure you are using the correct serial numbers with the correlating dongles.

The end of the serial number should match the ID printed in purple or gold on the dongle itself.
