If you switched the os from OS 9 to OS 10, you'll need to download the dongle driver form ealaddin.com.

You probably want to call your distributor and get the latest version installation CD shipped to you to avoid the above step.

Katie, I didn't switch to OSX/10, still runnning in Mac OS 9.2.2

My serial code from vw 9.0.1 seems not to work with 9.5: that's my problem.

I'm having problems running vw 9.5. It just runs in demo mode: does it depends on a new dongle driver that is required by vw 9.5?

Just to understand: is the vw 9.0.1 to vw 9.5 a free upgrade (as the updater is freely available on this web site)? Do I need a new serial code to run it?

Thanks

It's the same dongle driver.

The same serial number should also be used that came with the dongle when you got VW 901.

If you are not being prompted to enter in your serial number, remove the VW prefs file in your system preferences folder.

(make sure you empty the trash can)

Launch VW again. If you are not prompted to enter in your serial number still for VW 9.5 - check to make sure the dongle is plugged in and the light is on.

If the light is not on, the dongle driver is not being recognized.

In that case, you can download the dongle driver from the ealaddin.com website.

Delete the VW Prefs file again and start VW 9.5 up again.

If you still can't get it to work, you really need to call or email your distributor and have them send you a CD for VW 9.5.3. That will force the dongle driver to be installed. You may also want to run your serial number and dongle ID number with them to make sure it matches.
