Rendered prints really dark

Question

I may be asking too much of my HP All-in-one officejet, but I'm trying to get a quick rendered perspective of a building on an 8.5 x11 sheet. The only problem is the image is very dark. It's like every color has some extra black pixels in it that I can actually see.

Anybody know of a way to improve on this? Turn off the black somehow?

I'd like to post an scanned image of the print and then an image taken from the file to show you the difference but I'm not sure how. I don't have a website from which I can post an image. Is there any other way?

Final quality renderworks as well as custom renderworks trying both shadow options. I did a custom radiosity render which was lighter but the colors were so far off I didn't have time to experiment with adjustments there.
