B&W Printing SOLVED!!

I hope this is not extremely redundant... As a new VW user it certainly was frustrating and took me a lot of time to find this out.

1. To be able to print to B&W use the Batch Print under the File menu. Thanks to Mike Moore for that.

2. To batch print to PDF use the Resolve plug-ins recommended by Steve CAG. Here' the link:

I don't think that prints b&w. Only makes your tools draw black.

Actually Ramon, CEA is right. Just try it with printing to a PDF and you will see. WYSIWYG.

actually that preferences command does allow you to print black & white. i use it often when i batch print (we have a custom script that changes view to b&w and adds a file name and print date to each sheet, that does not work with batch print).

I guess I stand corrected.

But for some strange reason everytime I tried to print with checked "Black and White Only" I got grayscale. Even stranger, up to now everyone in the techboard told me to just use dark colors when drawing and experiment.

I took me some more time, but at least it's settled.

Its easy to print drawings as black and white only.

Simply select "File/Preferences/Document Preferences" and check "Black and White Only."

You can also print using the "Layer Colors" option to easily control more complex scenarios with some layers appearing in black and white only and some in color.

If you open the 'Help" menu and type in "Black and White" it will outline additional options.

I suspect my poor output might have been a product of the low default dpi output. but i can't be sure.
