Batch printing: How to?

I'm sorry if this has been explained already but I have recently upgraded to VW 11.0.1 and dont know what batch printing is? what advantages does this have over regular printing? how do you do it? do you need to set up the drawing in a special way?

Help would be much appreciated.

Batch printing is a feature of the Industry products. It allows you to select multiple sheet layers and views and send them to the printer without having to go to File Print for each sheet.

If you have one of the Industry Products such as architect, mechanical, landmark, spotlight, etc, you can check out Batch Printing in the User's Guide under Batch Printing.

Unless you have architect etc... File>Batch Printing won't be visible to you at all...

You activate it in the File>Workspaces/ Menu.

is there a way with VW12 Architect edition to batch print sheets from multiple files? ie a entire set of dwgs that reside in several different files?

You have to have the file open in order to execute the print command. A batch print job is for one file at a time.
