Corrupted file?

I am working on a file in VW 2026. I recently changed to the subscription model.  Snapping is not working properly.

I opened VW 2025 and spened that file but it won't open - says it is corrupted!  

Now what do I do? I am screwed!!!

Has your Vectorworks Preferences reset solved this problem as well?

If you are trying to open a 2026 file in 2025, it won't work, because it's newer then 2025.

Mike, I spoke too soon. Snapping is still not working. It seemed to work yesterday after reset but NO. It shows me "along line" but nothing else. Won't snap to intersection of lines or corners of extrudes. 

 

I assume that Suspend is On when illuminated but the only times I see "along line" is if Suspend is illuminated. If Suspend is dark, I cannot activate any options and no snapping will occur and no "along line" 

 

I cannot draw anything accurately unless I use the "along line" snap to draw a line. That seems to work but not real helpful to draw a shape if I cannot snap on the intersection. .

In this screenshot whilst Suspend is not enabled, all of your individual Snapping settings (in red rectangle) are turned off:

 

 

Click on the ones you want to use to turn them on.

Well that helps! I don't understand why I got so far off track since I never seemed to have this problem before.
