I have used Vectorworks to try to update building electrical prints. I have had some success. The prints are from around 2006 and in cad. There were many hurdles getting the prints loaded in. I think i probably have notes on what i did. something i do not think i ever solved was the hurdle of reading the prints in a standard architectural print size and trying to update that print size using the scale of viewing the building from space. What i really need is a way to take the "space" point of view and make it the print scale. In other words, i do not really need a scale at all, i just need to update the drawing as it appears. IT is essentially an electrical one-line diagram of the building electrical system, not a to-scale build. Although the placement did matter and was likely referenced, the updates that need to happen only need to happen at the print (36x24) level, not space. Please forgive my ignorance. It has been a few years since I have had to do this.
